A poster design for Fishtown Neigbors Association for there annual Juneteenth Celebration.

For this poster I wanted to include elements that tied to the history of Black Americans and the Holiday.

-The North Star and star navigation was way for enslaved African to find there way to freedom.

-Pan- African Flag represents people of the african Diaspora it was created in the 1900s to Symbolize black liberation.

Red: the blood that unites all people of Black African ancestry, and shed for liberation;
Black: for the people whose existence as a nation, though not a nation-state, is affirmed by the existence of the flag;
Green: the abundant and vibrant natural wealth of Africa, the Motherland.
